The Commission, through the Nairobi County office, midwifed the conduct of the AFC Leopards Sports CLub elections at Kasarani Stadium.

The club’s Register had 2,706 eligible voters with 1,775 casting their ballot to make 65.91% voter turn out. The club held elections for the positions of Chairperson,Secretary General and Treasurer to steer the club for the next four (4) years.

In the contest for the Club Chairperson, Boniface Ambani emerged the winner garnering 1,001 votes against his sole competitor Enoc Mutokah, who received 657 votes.

In other positions, the winners were Mulindi Mulanda, who garnerd 656 to clinch the Secretary General position and Newton Lime, who won the treasurer position with 676 votes.

The event for the first was peaceful and the candidates praised the IEBC for their professionalism and keen to details on election matters. Amosi Chilai, who served as the Returning Officer, encouraged other sports clubs to follow suit and use IEBC in their electoral activities.
